Police need good information to solve crime. To help with this, MYPOL delivered a five-day course in February on interview techniques to the MPF CID. The course used practical exercises to teach best practices for interviews related to a variety of crimes, including those against women and children. MYPOL’s trainers emphasised that different interviews require different approaches, but in every case, working with community partners is key to getting good information quickly. With good interviewing skills and collaborating with communities, police can solve more crimes and make Myanmar safer.
